The Future Automation Research Lab

The Future Automation Research Lab studies and designs human interaction with autonomous systems. The research group features multi-disciplinary collaboration aimed at an empirical and human-centric understanding of social interaction. Our research team specializes in design research, simulation studies, interactive prototyping, active data collection, and interaction intelligence.

Wendy Ju is an Assistant Professor at the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute at Cornell Tech and in the Information Science field at Cornell University. She is also faculty at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.

Sharon is an architect and a postdoctoral Associate at Cornell Tech, researching displacement pressure resulting from the privatization of affordable housing and developing a computerized model to simulate visualize, and predict those changes.

JD Zamfirescu is a PhD student in EECS at UC Berkeley. He teaches programming & electronics as an adjunct at CCA and Berkeley.

Ilan Mandel is an Information Science PhD candidate at Cornell University. His interests are computational methods for social scientists and interactive device design.
